The West SY annexation was approved which means your property is now within the Santa Ynez Community Services District (SYCSD). The SYCSD has undertaken the annexation process to provide your property with an additional option should your septic system fail and to comply with the Local Area Management Plan (LAMP) that went into effect on January 1, 2016. The annexation will allow the SYCSD to provide sewer service in the future, if needed. The annexation will also allow the District to spend and receive grants and funds for studies to determine the probable costs associated with the installation of sewer lines in your area, if they don't already exist.
